Make Believe Seattle Program
Overview
Make Believe Seattle is a new genre movie festival to grace the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, WA.
Challenge
For its first year, Make Believe needed a program that was full of information, both for events and the movies itselves, that needed to be clean and readable but with personality to match the eclectic showings.
Solution
Drawing upon a nostalgic time when the easiest way to find the weird and wonderful horror or other genre movies was by scouring local cable guides for them, I created a clean, elevated vintage feel, using design and type inspiration from the festival's logo itself.

Visual Style
The initial idea was that of an old TV guide like you'd get in your local newspaper, a nostalgia factor for early millenials and older, as that was how you would find where to watch those illicit horror or genre movies on TV back then. I wanted that, but elevated, so the main draw to the feeling was creating the images with an authetic offset printer feel, colors slightly misaligned, just like how I remember it.
